Of course I had to write something about this chapter ohoho! *-*
Ok, so, it took 244 chapters for Erina to finally be participating in an actual Shokugeki where we’ll truly be seeing her cook. Better late than never, right? lmao
But, as excited as I am about this, there’s someone who’s even more excited…
I LOVE that he’s thinking about her. These are HIS flashbacks.
Of course, he’s Soma, so he’s excited to see someone who’s supposedly as strong of a chef as Erina cook. BUT, that’s the foundation of their relationship. Soma loves a challenge. And Erina is a challenge. So, she excites him, and eventually he may not just love the challenge, but her as well ohoho. ^_~
That panel placement though ahaha! Souma, where is your gaze focused?! LMAO. But, seriously, I can’t with those looks he gives her. They are so soft, and they make me so happy. ;_; He knows she’s about to kick some ass.
And speaking of ass-kicking, I love, love, love that Erina is the one taking on Momo to avenge Megumi. It’s a nice touch to show her loyalty to the friendships that she’s made in this arc, and especially with Megumi, who she quickly acknowledged is a talented chef. And I liked the kind expression that both she and Soma had towards Megumi when she lost against Momo a few chapters ago. It was really affectionate. ^^
Back to Erina kicking ass. I missed haughty Erina lol! Especially now that she’s fighting on Soma’s side. It’s been a long wait, but I’m sure she’ll win this one, and move on to the next round. I don’t have the same faith in Isshiki or Takumi,’s matches unfortunately, because I think they are setting up for a Souma x Erina vs Tsukasai x Rindou final match. Not that I mind that, of course lol. But, we’ll see what happens. In the meantime, bring on Erina’s shokugeki!
